Data Issues

Resolve problems with data import, synchronization, accuracy, and completeness.

Common Data Problems

Data Not Syncing from Integrations

  • Verify integration credentials are valid and not expired
  • Check integration connection status in Settings > Integrations
  • Manually trigger a sync from the integration settings
  • Review integration logs for error messages
  • Disconnect and reconnect the integration if needed
  • Ensure the integration service is operational

Incomplete or Missing Data

  • Check data source permissions and access rights
  • Verify date ranges for data import
  • Ensure integrations have sufficient historical data
  • Review data completeness indicators in dashboard
  • Run data validation checks
  • Contact integration provider if data is missing at source

Incorrect or Outdated Data

  • Force a manual data refresh from integrations
  • Check last sync timestamps in integration settings
  • Verify data source accuracy
  • Clear cached data and re-import
  • Review data transformation rules
  • Check for timezone or date format mismatches

Data Import Failures

  • Verify file format matches requirements (CSV, JSON, Excel)
  • Check file size limits (typically 10MB for manual uploads)
  • Ensure required columns/fields are present
  • Validate data types match expected formats
  • Check for special characters or encoding issues
  • Try importing smaller batches of data

Data Quality Warnings

  • Review data quality score in dashboard
  • Address missing required fields
  • Fix data format inconsistencies
  • Remove duplicate entries
  • Validate data ranges and outliers
  • Use data cleaning tools if available

Data Validation Checklist

All required fields are populated
Data formats match expected types (dates, numbers, text)
No duplicate records exist
Data ranges are within expected bounds
Relationships between data points are valid
Time-based data has consistent timestamps
Currency and unit conversions are accurate

Data Refresh Procedures

Automatic Sync

Most integrations sync automatically every 15 minutes to 1 hour. Check integration settings for sync frequency.

Manual Refresh

Use the refresh button in integration settings to force an immediate sync. This is useful after making changes to source data.

Sync Errors

If sync fails repeatedly, check integration logs, verify credentials, and ensure the source service is accessible.

  • • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • • Data is stored securely and access-controlled
  • • You can export or delete your data at any time
